Repeat Prescriptions are medications that have been set up for you to order regularly. You can view and order your Repeat Prescriptions on the NHS App, or via your NHS Online Account.
We aim to process all repeat prescription requests within 72 hours of receipt. Please note that processing times may be longer during public holidays. This timeframe does not include the additional time required by pharmacies to dispense your medication.
If you need an emergency supply of a repeat prescription you have completely run out of, you may be able to get this via 111 online.
We will regularly review your repeat prescriptions to ensure they are working well for you and to carry out any necessary safety checks. If you do not have repeat templates set up (for example, if you are a new patient or have a new medication), or if you need to arrange a medication review for any other reason, please send us a message using the “Questions and admin” function in our Smart Triage system. We will then arrange a medication review appointment for you.
